Lesson that Nokia's Snake Game teach us in Childhood [but we forget]

The Game   How many of you remember playing this game in your childhood ?? I'm sure many of you (and almost all of you if you happen to be a 90s kid 😎)   We play it with full zeal and keep making our snake eat the food and become bigger. However, after certain time when the snake becomes extremely big, we somehow get it killed. And we get frustrated when it gets killed.... 😔 But, but, but my dear friend, we do not lose any hope and restart the game with the same small snake. With full enthusiasm and vigor  Like this... The Lesson In our lives, we put similar effort as we make in the game. In game, the snake is getting bigger and in real life, it is you who is growing with every single effort you put in yourself. In game, when our snake gets killed, we dont lose hope and start fresh with all the hope and enthusiasm that we will make the highest score this time. But in real life, we often lose the hope of rebuilding and that ...

Inter Caste marriages

A Fact As per a study conducted by 3 academicians from Indian Statistical Institute Delhi, it was found that the upper castes have the highest rate of inter-caste marriage[1]. Wait, but what is this inter-caste marriage and even before understanding what is inter-caste marriage, we must know what a caste is actually. What is caste ? Well, Caste has successfully defended itself from coming under a perfect definition. Different scholars have tried to define caste but every definition has some loophole. For time being, we may assume that Caste is a set of people having a set of customs and a definite place in the "social hierarchy" based on a social contract signed by each and every member of the society. What is inter-caste ? When a member of one caste has "something to do" with other a member from some other caste, then it is inter-caste. Whar is intercaste marriage ? When  "something to do"  = marriage, then it is inter-caste marriage. ...

Demographic Dividend, Debt & Deposits

What is Demographic Dividend Demographic dividend refers to the growth in an economy that is the resultant effect of a change in the age structure of a country’s population. There are four main areas where a country can find demographic dividends: Savings : During the demographic period, personal savings grow and can be used to stimulate the economy. Labor supply : More workers are added to the labor force, including more women. Human capital : With fewer births, parents are able to allocate more resources per child, leading to better educational and health outcomes. Economic growth : GDP per capita is increased due to a decrease in the dependency ratio. Source - UNFPA [Graphic by Kaveen Kumar Saini/Mint] From this  graph, it is clear that the India's working age population (15-59) is around 57% in 2000 and will continue to be above 50% until 2060. So, in this span of 60 years we can have a maximum demographic dividend from our population. The peak of workin...
